Gary Falcone: Lead Guitar
She's standing by the window
Waiting for the dawn.
She can see the blue horizon
And the frost upon the lawn.
She is waiting for her man
To come back home,
And her heart beats to the morning
Like a metronome.
Silently she waits. Silently she wants.
She wishes she could leave him
But his smile, it always haunts.
And then a tear begins
To glisten in her eye,
And it blurs the photograph
That stands nearby.
She-Child is feeling lonely,
She-Child wants to play.
But all her dreams have turned to dust
And her playmates have run away.
Oh, its time to grow up, She-Child.
It's time to face the day.
To look for new horizons
And chart another way.
The sun, it comes up slowly
To wash the gloom away.
She must close her weary eyes
To remember how to pray.
Though she knows that praying's
Never worked before.
Still she hopes to bring
That man back to her door.
A driveway that stands empty,
Another sleepless night.
She didn't only lose a round,
She lost another fight.
But then she listens to what
A sparrow has to say,
And notices the newness
Of the day.
She-Child is feeling lonely,
She-Child wants to play.
But all her dreams have turned to dust
And her playmates have run away.
Oh, its time to grow up, She-Child.
It's time to face the day.
To look for new horizons
And chart another way.
She-Child is feeling lonely,
She-Child wants to play.
But all her dreams have turned to dust
And her playmates have run away.
Oh, its time to grow up, She-Child.
It's time to face the day.
To look for new horizons
And chart another way.
